About the programme

The Master’s Degree in Cognitive Psychology in Health Communication is jointly offered by UniSR – Vita-Salute San Raffaele and USI – Università della Svizzera Italiana and is entirely taught in English. The program welcomes students from all over the world offering a truly international environment. Students have the chance to study both in Milan and in Lugano according to the semester they are attending.

The program foresees an interdisciplinary training in psychology, neuroscience, health communication, organizational behaviour and management, focusing on the intersection between the theoretical bases of cognitive psychology and of communication applied to the context of health. Admitted students will receive an active tutoring service that will allow them to conduct an integrative psychological training also thanks to the seminar activities, ongoing research projects, laboratories and practical activities. The central goal of this programme is to allow students to familiarize with the latest research and practices in cognitive psychology in order to help them translate and apply this knowledge in many different working environments.

Indeed, after successful completion of their studies, the title students are awarded is fully recognized both in Italy and in Switzerland and grants full access to any regular career path in Psychology in both countries. Graduates from this programme have a great variety of career opportunities they can enter, and can work in many different fields such as psychology – including social psychology, educational psychology, developmental psychology, clinical psychology – marketing, management, communication and economics.

Students are admitted after a positive evaluation of their previous BA or BSs. Different deadlines for applications are set for EU and for NON-EU students. Non-EU students will have to apply for and obtain a VISA both for Italy and for Switzerland.
